He enjoys music, drama, sports, and spending time with family. He and wife Anna Lisa Johannessen were married in 2008. Pastor John enjoys music, drama, sports, and spending time with his family.
A favorite Bible verse is Matthew 22:37-39
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’(NIV)
Pastor John and Anna Lisa appreciate the broad backgrounds that are represented in the congregation. “We have learned so much from the people of St. James and being in the city of Fayetteville. The St. James Lutheran community is a joy to be around.” Pastor John has a heart for preaching, Gospel-based storytelling, teaching and “walking with” people in daily life.
